Wishing you all a happy Mother’s Day!
It’s but fitting to place Susan Boyle’s mother at centre stage this Mother’s Day, not just for what the day stands for – for her beloved Mum was (and is) her utmost inspiration, THE reason why, and for what superstar Susan Boyle is today.
As Susan reveals in many of her interviews, on air and on print, her beloved mother Bridget was her inspiration and her stimulation why she sang that unforgettable “I Dreamed a Dream” from Les Miserables. She likes the mother figure in this musical. She remembered the song and her Mum who passed away, loved the song and what it meant — all in relation to her mother.
Today, the rest is history for Susan Boyle since that April 11th 2009 when she blew us all away. Now, with fame and fortune at her feet, she’s a superstar in her own right.
To Bridget Boyle, thank you for daughter, Susan, and to God, for her gift of voice.
Wishing you all a lovely Mother’s Day!

An interesting article from Niall O’Dowd, IrishCentral.com Publisher.
Surely, many fans and admirers of Susan Boyle already realize this from the start.
“Susan Boyle much more than a “plain looking spinster”
A “plain-looking spinster” is how WomansDay.com described Susan Boyle this week.
If that were a men’s magazine I’m sure the female population would be outraged at such a description. Whatever happened to beauty being skin deep?
What is it with some women and Susan Boyle? Take Amanda Holden for one. She can hardly hide her envy that Susan has far outshone her since she was one of the judges for “Britain’s Got Talent” and her
subsequent U.S. career has begun to slump.
She has made critical comments disguised as faint praise about Boyle ever since. It is clear this lady is living out a personal nightmare that someone is far more appreciated and accepted in America than she
is.
